Overview
This guide explains how to move a student from one session to another using the Reschedule wizard. You can start from the Bookings tab on any session or from an individual booking page.
Available for: Service Provider Admins and Instructors with session management permissions.
Before You Start
Booking is active (not canceled).
No issued certificate. If a certificate exists, you cannot Reschedule or Cancel the booking as they've reported to the issuing agency (e.g. AHA).
Where to Initiate Reschedule
From a session's Bookings tab
Open Sessions → select the session → Bookings tab.
Find the student's row, open the ⋯ menu, select Reschedule.
From an individual booking page
Open the booking page.
Larger screens: Click More actions (⋮) → Reschedule.
Smaller screens: Scroll to Details tab, tap Reschedule button.
Step-by-Step: Reschedule a Student
Step 1: Pick a date
Use the calendar and location filter to narrow sessions.
Days with sessions show a small indicator. If you filter by location and don't see an expected day, clear the filter or check a different date range (very old sessions may not appear).
Tip
Set the location filter first when you teach in many cities—it speeds up the date and time search.
Step 2: Pick a time and session
Sessions show available spots or Full
Check the session type: Private is labeled; Client sessions show the organization name.
Step 3: Review and confirm
Verify the new session details (date, time, location, capacity).
Send notification is on by default for future sessions; turn it off if needed.
If Full, confirm you want to proceed (you'll see a warning).
Click Reschedule.
Which Sessions Can Students Be Moved Into?
Same offering only: You can only move students within the same course/class. To change to a different course (e.g., BLS → ACLS), see "Changing to a Different Course" in Troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting
Need a client-only session but student is on public/private

Reschedule won't list client sessions—cancel and rebook on the client session. This it to make sure the Client gets billed and the order is appropriately generated.
The session says Full
The session says Full
You can still finish the reschedule if your organization allows overbooking; otherwise pick another time or add capacity first.
The student didn't get an email
The student didn't get an email
Ask the student to check spam/promotions.
Resend confirmation from the booking page if needed.
Note:
If the student's email has bounced, you'll see an Alert (red triangle) explaining why the email didn't get delivered. You'll be able to update the email from the booking.

This is a session reschedule (edit the session itself), not a booking reschedule. Use the session Edit flow when your role allows it.

The Reschedule wizard only moves enrollment to another session of the same offering. To switch courses:
Cancel the existing booking.
Refund or adjust payment as needed.
Create a new booking on the correct course and session so the student gets the right materials, order, and roster.
